"Sexually developed country" — usually refers to Japan, viewed as having a highly developed adult-entertainment industry.

"Just stay home and study" (a pun on the country name South Africa, which shares its Korean abbreviation with this phrase) — a dismissive suggestion.

Started when a DC Inside user posted a comic about people in Busan mixing completely mismatched foods together, quoting a Busan dialect line, "Just mix it and eat!" ("Ma! Sseuka mugeura!"). The comic went viral, and afterward "seuka" came to mean mixing incompatible foods, with "Seuka-guk" ("Mix Country") used as a derogatory nickname for Busan. The term spread from DC Inside to many other Korean communities.

"The peninsula" — usually refers to Korea.

"Land of the brown bear" — refers to Russia.

"The archipelago" — usually refers to Japan.

"The continent" — usually refers to China.

"Black-haired foreigner" — someone ethnically Korean but holding foreign citizenship.

"Thousand-trillion-won nation" — from its defense budget alone reportedly reaching that figure; refers to the United States.

"Bread country" — refers to France.

It is confidence in one's sense of belonging to one's country.

Wanting to leave Korea for good — a self-deprecating term, where "Joseon" is a jab at the country.

"Seoul sickness" — the post-trip longing foreign visitors feel for Seoul after going home, with a strong urge to go back.
