코렁탕

: 설렁탕을 코로 먹이는 고문 방법이다. 과거군사독재 정권 당시 북한과 관련되거나 반정부 인사, 국가보안법 위반자들을 남삼의 중앙정보부에 잡아가 고문하면서 설렁탕을 입이 아닌 코로 먹인다는 것에서 유래되었다.

「명사」 '코로 먹는 설렁탕'의 준말로 정부에 비난적인 행동을 했을때 설렁탕으로 물고문을 시킨다는 의미에서 비롯된 단어이다. 최근에는 정부 비판글을 게재할 경우 "코렁탕 먹는다"는 등의 표현으로 사용된다.

Literally "seolleongtang (ox-bone soup) eaten through the nose" — a reference to the historical use of water torture against government critics. Now used to mean "you'll get in trouble" for posting something critical of the government.

It is a torture method involving forcing seolleongtang into the nose. It originated during the past military dictatorship, when individuals linked to North Korea, anti-government figures, or violators of the National Security Act were taken to the Central Intelligence Agency in Namsam and tortured by being forced to eat seolleongtang through their noses instead of their mouths.
