‘이번 생은 망했어’라는 자조적인 뜻을 가진 신조어로 사용된 원인들은 다음과 같다. 1.동양문화권에 윤회사상의 영향을 받아 '이번 생'에서의 불가능을 '다음 생'에서 가능하게 하고자 하는 욕구가 반영되었다. 2. 사회 경제적 격차들이 극심하게 느껴지는 사회에서 받은 상처들로 인해서 현재의 삶에 대한 불만족스러움으로 사용하게 되었다. 3. 여러가지 원인으로 인한 자존감 하락으로 어린 나이층들에게서 많이 사용되어지는 경향이 있다.
