발컨

게임 플레이를 정말 못 하는 사람을 욕 되어 이르는 말. 원래, 디시인사이드 스타크래프트 갤러리에서 팀전에서 정말 못 하는 사람을 한 누리꾼이 발로 컨트롤한다는 말로 쓰이다가, 유행되었다. 차츰 줄여져 현재의 말로 주로 쓰인다. 신체 부위 중 하나인 발과 통제라는 뜻을 가진 컨트롤(Control)이 합쳐진 말이다. 아놔 님 발컨? 등으로 응용하여 쓰인다. 발컨 중에서 정말 못 하는 사람을 이르켜, 개발컨이라고 한다. 하지만 발이 중요한 축구나 DDR 등에서는 모욕의 의미로 사용되지 않는다.

'발로 컨트롤한다'는 말의 약자로 게임을 못한다는 뜻이다. 반대 말로 '신컨'이 있다.

An insult for someone who is genuinely terrible at playing a game. Originated on DC Inside's StarCraft gallery, where a user said someone playing badly in a team match must be controlling with their feet — combining "foot" (bal) with "control." Someone especially bad is a "gae-balkeon." Not used insultingly in sports or games like DDR where feet are actually the point.

Short for "controlling with your feet" — means being bad at a game. The opposite is "sinkeon" ("god-tier control").
