멸공

"Destroy communism" — an old South Korean anti-communist military slogan revived as an online hashtag and political meme in 2022; read as a conservative/anti-communist rallying cry, and criticized by others as far-right.

'공산주의를 멸한다'는 뜻의 반공 구호로, 한국전쟁 무렵 군에서 쓰이던 말이다. 2022년 SNS에서 '멸공' 해시태그와 '멸공 챌린지'가 정치권까지 번지며 다시 유행했고, 반공·보수 성향을 드러내는 구호로 받아들여지는 한편 극우적이라는 비판도 받는다.
