갈라치기

Originally a Go term for splitting an opponent's territory — now a critical word for dividing people by region, gender, or generation to turn them against each other. Mostly aimed at political strategy, though some note it also gets used to dismiss dissenting views.

원래 상대 세력권의 중간을 가르는 바둑 용어로, 지역·성별·세대 등을 기준으로 사람들을 편 갈라 서로 대립하게 만드는 행위를 비판적으로 이르는 말이다. 주로 정치권 전략을 비판할 때 쓰며, 다른 의견을 몰아세우는 말로 쓰인다는 지적도 있다.
